Can a photograph really capture the unique nature of a child? Photographer Bev Pineau, believes it can. Bev is located in Saratoga County, New York and specializes in photographing babies and children. She is also teacher who has worked with preschool and school aged children with special needs for the past 17 years. Bev is the mother of four grown children and has two beautiful granddaughters. While she has dabbled in photography for over 30 years, it was the birth of her first grandchild, Emma, that brought home her personal interest in photographing babies and children professionally.

Bev’s family, work as a teacher, and photography, are her passions. Her goal is to capture the personality a child, not just take the pictures. She strives to preserve the magic of a particular moment in time. These are the moments you will cherish for generations to come. It truly brings her joy to be able to work with children and provide families with rich portraits that tell the story of what their children were like at that moment; tears, tantrums, laughter, smiles and all. Bev’s shooting style is creative, artistic, spontaneous and fun. Generally she likes to loosely pose the child and/or family and then watch for the natural interaction to occur. Sometimes she has a firm idea in mind, and will pose the child accordingly, while still allowing for interaction with their surrounding and for their natural selves to shine through. Bev’s connection with the client will always come back in the expression and emotion seen through the eyes. She particularly enjoys capturing the freshness and innocence of babies and children and loves seeing parents’ eyes light up when they first see their little ones’ portraits. Bev’s goal is to make your photography session an enjoyable and memorable experience.
