My name is Casey Goldberg, in June of 2004 I gave birth to my second daughter – and unlike my first, this little one loved to be swaddled. As many new moms do, I received lots a very pretty baby blankets when my daughter was born, but most of them were just that – pretty. They were rectangular in shape, they were slippery satin or they were made of very heavy materials and were not breathable. My inspiration for making the first Snug-A-Bug Blanket came from many sources, but mostly it came from my little ones demand to be “snug as a bug”!

I wanted to create a blanket that would be large enough to swaddle her as a newborn, but also continue to be useful as she grew; as a play mat, a stroller or car blanket, and even a nap blanket for daycare. I wanted to create a blanket that would be soft, cozy and stylish. And I wanted to create a blanket that she would love.

In 2006, at the advice of my mom, and now partner, Beverly Pineau, I took advantage of my former experience as an art student and began created a line of magnetic photo birth announcements, party invitations and holiday greetings. We call these adorable creations “Stick ‘em Ups.” And now we are two...
